Since 1973, we have developed 35 communities providing homes for more than 15,000 families.
East West Communities has expanded from its beginnings and is now actively developing numerous communities in the metro Richmond area, the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, and Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. East West entered the Hampton Roads market in 1988 with the development of a waterfront community in Smithfield-

Over thirty-nine years ago, East West Communities pioneered the concept of a master planned community with Brandermill, located just outside of Richmond, Virginia. Situated on a 1,700-acre lake, Brandermill was one of the first financially successful planned communities to combine homes with offices, schools, churches, shopping, and a collection of recreational opportunities. Brandermill is an undisputed success. In 1977, East West Communities received the first of many national accolades when Brandermill was named “The Best Planned Community in America” by the National Association of Home Builders.
